Summer 2016


Training for a summer of cycling up mountains: I am cycling 4+ miles with an elevation gain of 250+ ft almost daily and on the weekends I either golf, cycle or hike with hubby. I aim for 10,000 steps a day and I do 20 mins of yoga most weekdays.

A recent cycle up Lookout Mt 1700ft of elevation gain!!!


Breakfast today was a smoothie. I have this on a regular basis, it's great fuel for cycling, here's the recipe:

3/4 C of fruit juice
3/4 C almond milk
1/2 C water
1 C frozen mixed fruit
1 C kale, spinach or any leafy green
1/2 a beet &/or 1/4 C diced broccoli stalk &/or 1/2 carrot
1/4 C of rolled oats
1 T of either chia seeds
1T of flax seeds
3/4 C plain greek yogurt
