Scarp Road Section Two

Today we tackled section two of Scarp Road in the Darling Range.

This section runs through Serpentine National Park.
The weather was perfect!
It was a very steep ride! 17% grade at the bottom near the Serpentine River turnaround point.
Marianne's data only
But the forest was beautiful and peaceful.
There is a section near the river where we spotted this cute pond:
The Munda Biddi trail crossed paths with the road several times but we stayed on the road, we'll come back to explore the Munda Biddi in this section of the forest another time.
I had to stop to rest about a dozen times on the way back to the car because it was sooo steep.
But the views across the valley were spectacular as we got closer to the river.
We were tired after this one! Strenuous and steep is a great way to describe MTBing this section of Scarp Road!
